Salem — A fight in progress was reported in the 300 block of West Fourth Street at 11:21 a.m. Friday. Officers spoke with the parties involved and determined that they had been involved in a verbal dispute which had turned physical. Neither party wanted to pursue the matter. — A person to be removed was reported at a business in the 200 block of South Broadway Avenue at 8:23 p.m. Thursday. Columbiana seeking member for zoning appeals board
COLUMBIANA — The city is looking for a new member to serve on the Board of Zoning Appeals. City Manager Lance Willard said the vacant seat is the result of the resignation of Jack Sutherin, whose term does not expire until the end of 2027. The city is taking letters of interest through Sept. 10. Willard took time during the most recent City Council meeting to praise the community for their involvement with the city.
