County commissioners authorize engineer’s office to seek bids for manholes project

LISBON — A Columbiana County engineer’s project to replace and rehabilitate manholes along Dresden Avenue in St. Clair Township received the go-ahead from commissioners to seek bids for the first phase of work. Commissioners on Wednesday authorized the engineer advertising for bids, which will be opened at 9 a.m. Aug. 19 at the engineer’s office. Liverpool Township trustees vote to place fire levy on November ballot

LIVERPOOL TOWNSHIP — During Tuesday’s meeting of the Liverpool Township Board of Trustees, the trustees approved the placement of a fire levy on the November General Election Ballot. If it passes the 1.45-mill additional levy should generate approximately $127,000 and would cost homeowners $51 per $100,000 tax valuation. East Liverpool City Council handles timely matters in special session

EAST LIVERPOOL — City council held a special meeting Monday to vote on time sensitive ordinances. Ordinances voted on included an Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) agreement for the Riverfront Trail Project Phase 1.1, two authorizing the service safety director to enter into scope of work agreement and one to adjust budget appropriations.
