EAST LIVERPOOL -- City council held a special meeting Monday to vote on time sensitive ordinances.
Ordinances voted on included an Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) agreement for the Riverfront Trail Project Phase 1.1, two authorizing the service safety director to enter into scope of work agreement and one to adjust budget appropriations.
The Riverfront Trail ordinance was time sensitive and had to be approved through the special meeting to meet the deadline set for the LPA-ODOT-LET Project Agreement for the Riverfront Trail Project Phase 1.1, which once completed will be a shared use path connecting downtown East Liverpool to the Ohio Riverfront along various routes.
The agreement gives consent to the Director of Transportation to complete the project, outlines the funding for the project, gives the safety service director the authorization to execute contracts and assigns maintenance of the project upon completion.
The two ordinances authorizing the service safety director on behalf of the city to enter into the Scope of Work NO. 1 and NO. 2 to the Master Service Agreement between Utility Service Co. Inc., and the city are for the servicing of the two 250,000-pound tanks located on Michigan Avenue for a term of 10 years.
All four ordinances were unanimously passed with emergency measures.
The East Liverpool City Council meets in regular session on the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m. in council chambers at East Liverpool City Hall, 126 W. Sixth St. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Aug. 3.
