Humane society seeks information in case of abandoned dogs

SALEM — The Columbiana County Humane Society is asking the public for any information they may have about dogs abandoned on the side of the road in cages. According to a statement posted to the humane society’s Facebook page, the humane society is asking anyone with information about the neglect and abandonment of eight dogs discovered in “filthy crates” along Trinity Church Road near state Route 518 at 11:50 p.m. Friday to contact the organization at 234-575-1400. Valley gets $270K in grants to connect opioid survivors with help

Agencies in the Mahoning Valley will receive more than $270,000 in state grants to help connect survivors of opioid addiction to treatment and recovery programs. COLUMBUS — Three local agencies have received funds to help communities connect survivors of opioid addiction to treatment and recovery.
