Perry Township trustees OK miscellaneous repair costs

PERRY TOWNSHIP — The board of trustees approved repair costs in its meeting Monday. The trustees unanimously approved the repair of one of the police department’s radar systems by PB Electronics for $645. The trustees also approved the purchase of cement cubes for storm drain repairs at a cost of $1,000. The agenda also initially included the designation of the property at 204 Apple St. as a nuisance property, but the matter was tabled until the board’s next meeting. (WKBN) – The Canfield Fair’s headliner this year is taking some time off for health reasons — canceling the remainder of his tour, including the fair. Bret Michaels’ team announced that after recent surgeries, the singer will need to take several months off to rest and recover. Wellsville fire chief still committed to road closure

WELLSVILLE — The village fire chief remains steadfast in the closure of a section of Main Street following the collapse of a building. Fire Chief Barry Podwel Tuesday addressed discussion at the previous council meeting regarding council being able to overrule his decision to keep the 400 block of Main Street closed due to safety reasons following the collapse of the 5&10 building.
