(WKBN) - The Canfield Fair's headliner this year is taking some time off for health reasons -- canceling the remainder of his tour, including the fair.
Bret Michaels' team announced that after recent surgeries, the singer will need to take several months off to rest and recover.
Michaels' doctors said the heat and humidity during the summer can have a particularly negative effect on his blood sugar levels.
His team expressed their apologies, saying they were "truly looking forward to the rest of this year's shows."
The JAC has announced that Donnie Iris and The Cruisers will step in to replace Michaels alongside The Clarks.
Michaels was originally scheduled to close out the Canfield Fair with a show on Monday, Sept. 7.
Those who purchased a ticket and would like a refund may request one from the original point of purchase.
Tickets for the show are still available starting at $25 on Ticketmaster.com.
