Columbiana welcomed 16 new businesses in 2025
COLUMBIANA — The city welcomed 16 new businesses in 2025.
City Council was given a rundown of the building and zoning annual report during the most recent council meeting.
The figures provided by Deputy Administrator Bryce Miner show that growth has been positive since collaborating with Elevate on the building and zoning department.
In addition to the 16 new businesses, the city registered 22 food trucks and 128 contractors as well as issuing 208 zoning permits.
Registrations resulted in more than $9,000 in fees collected by the city.
Zoning permit fees accounted for just over $15,800 last year.
Furthermore, Miner said commercial investment accounted for more than $14.5 million between new construction, signs, roofing, demolition and others.
Industrial investment accounted for just over $312,000, while residential investment accounted for $15.48 million.
Miner said that so far this year there are currently 98 contractors and 12 food trucks registered with the city.
