Spring Fling returns to EP

EAST PALESTINE – Despite the ongoing construction at the East Palestine City Park, the village’s Easter hunt will be held as the East Palestine Spring Fling returns to the village on Easter Eve with the day-long event set to take place April 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The East Palestine Area of Commerce invites the public to “shop, hop and eat all day” with the festivities to get underway at 9 a.m. with “Breakfast with the Easter Bunny” sponsored by the East Palestine Rotary Club. The Easter egg hunt will follow at the park.

“We have been busy pulling all the things together spring,” the chamber said. “We are excited to welcome everyone to town for a day full of fun activities, music and food.”

Raffles and prize drawings will be held at the Spring Fling Headquarters in the Municipal Building located at 85 N. Market St. from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Jim’s Rolling Roadhouse and the Snack Shack will offer eats, also from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pop-up-Shops, Wild and Wonderfilled Farms and B-Linked Permanent Jewelry will also be set up in town.

Other festivities include a “Find the Golden Eggs” hidden throughout downtown from noon to 4 p.m. and kids flower planting set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the East Palestine Moose Lodge Hall. Live music will be performed downtown.

Several businesses will hold sales and promotions exclusive to Saturday. Shop patrons can bring proof of village purchases to the municipal building to earn a prize entry.
