NASCAR clashes with winter storm

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — NASCAR has adjusted the schedule for this weekend’s exhibition race at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem in anticipation of more ice and snow blanketing the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina. The Clash was supposed to be a two-day event beginning Saturday with the main event held Sunday evening. But the roads in the area are not yet totally clear from last weekend’s ice storm, and more inclement weather is scheduled for the next few days with as much as 12 inches possible for Saturday and the area under a winter storm watch through 1 p.m. EST ...

East End boil order

The East Liverpool Water Department has issue a precautionary boil order for anyone affected by the water break today in the East End of town, once water is restored. This boil order will remain in effect until satisfactory bacteria tests are completed. The department will provide an update once bacteria testing has been completed and the boil order is lifted. 

Glenmoor area boil advisory lifted

The boil advisory has been lifted for Wyoming Street in the  Glenmoor area and anyone else in the area that experienced low to no water pressure.

Wellsville boil advisory

The Buckeye Water District has issued a boil advisory for the following streets in Wellsville: Tenth between Wood and Center and anyone that experienced low to no water pressure.

Belichick snub makes fans angry

Bill Belichick won six Lombardi Trophies as a head coach with the Patriots, two as an assistant with the Giants and has more Super Bowl rings than anyone in NFL history. Yet somehow he’s not a first-ballot Pro Football Hall of Famer. Belichick didn’t get the required votes in his first year of eligibility, according to a report from ESPN on Tuesday that cited four unidentified sources. Browns chaotic search ends with Monken

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns have hired one of their former coordinators to be the team’s head coach. However, it is not the one some people expected. The Browns hired Todd Monken on Wednesday as the franchise’s 19th full-time head coach, wrapping up a three-week search. He replaces Kevin Stefanski, who was fired on Jan. 5, the day after Cleveland finished a 5-12 season. This is Monken’s first NFL head coaching job after 11 years as an assistant.
