EAST PALESTINE — Beaver Local’s boys track team won just one event, but was consistent through the ranks as it captured the East Palestine Bulldog Invitational on Saturday at Reid Memorial Stadium. Jack Nocella took the high jump with a clearance of 5 feet, 8 inches to earn Beaver Local’s lone event win. Oak Glen’s boys team had a strong day as well with six event wins. CANTON — Addison Hopple raced to a win in the 3200-meter run to lead Salem’s girls track team on Saturday at the Canton GlenOak Second Sole Eagle Elite meet. Hopple finished in 11:42.94. Peyton Colbert earned a second-place finish in the high jump as she cleared 5 feet. Chaya Murray also turned in a strong time in the 100 as she was third in 12.85.
