County's large schools may be in for a big year

The three largest schools in Columbiana County kicked off the season on Friday with victories. That's the first time Salem, East Liverpool and Beaver Local all won their openers since 2019. Beaver Local showed off its speed and what coach Mike McKenzie calls his strongest team since he arrived at Beaver Local in 2017 with a 35-14 win over Crestview. Construction at the Ward Athletic Complex has closed the new course and forced the Clippers to move their three home meets. (AP) — San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York used an alias when he sent text messages over two days to a woman he believed to be a prostitute before he was arrested in a sting operation in East Palestine, Ohio, according to a police incident report obtained Tuesday.
