Heartland 67, Cardinal Mooney 54 YOUNGSTOWN — Heartland Christian’s boys basketball team racked up a 67-54 win over Cardinal Mooney on Tuesday. The Lions moved to 14-4 and are ranked 19th in the state of Ohio in Div. VII according to the MaxPreps rankings. Heartland has won four straight following a four-game losing streak. Hughes has big weekend at EOWL

AUSTINTOWN — Nationally ranked Jake Hughes of Beaver Local swept through his matches on Friday and Saturday to earn the most valuable wrestler award at the Eastern Ohio Wrestling League tournament at Austintown Fitch. Hughes had three quick pins and an a technical fall to win at 157 pounds for his second career EOWL crown.
