DOVER — The East Liverpool girls bowling team advanced out of the Division II sectional tournament Wednesday at Boulevard Lanes. The Potters finished third with 2,770 pins. The top six teams and top six individuals not on a qualifying team advance to the district tournament at Legacy Lanes in Coshocton on Feb. 19. McKinley reaches 2,000 CANTON — The Canton McKinley boys basketball program became the first in Ohio to reach 2,000 wins. The Bulldogs beat North Canton Hoover, 64-59, at the Canton Fieldhouse on Tuesday. Canton McKinley, the Federal League champion, is 17-3 on the season with losses to Akron Hoban, Alliance and Cleveland St. Ignatius.
