LEAVITTSBURG — Back on Dec. 5, the Crestview boys basketball team opened the season with a tough loss to LaBrae. Long finished second in the 200-yard individual medley in 1:58.68 to earn an automatic state berth on Friday at the Div. II district meet at Ohio University. LORAIN — No area bowlers advanced out of the Division II district tournament Friday at Rebman Lanes, but several girls will get a shot at it Saturday. Crestview senior Brody Brubaker topped area boys by tying for 17th place with a 601 series, which was 38 pins shy of a state berth. He had games of 216-196-189.
