Heartland Christian 77, Lordstown 29 COLUMBIANA — Heartland Christian’s boys basketball team had a 34-point first quarter and cruised to a 77-29 win over 23rd-seeded Lordstown in a Div. VII sectional final Thursday. Collin Kalaher scored 14 points in the opening quarter as the Lions took a commanding 34-10 lead. Kalaher scored 25 of his game-high 27 points in the first half. CANTON — Salem senior Ryan Folger will be on the podium today at the Div. II state swimming tournament at C.T. Branin Nataroium. Folger finished fifth in the boys 100-yard butterfly preliminary (50.44) to qualify for today’s finals. He was behind Oak Harbour’s Austin Sorg (48.52), Beachwood’s Derek Fan (48.54), University’s Paul Moody (49.17) and Hamilton Ross’s Luke Mignery (49.57).
