EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool’s halftime lead couldn’t hold up as the Potter girls basketball team was on the end of 41-34 loss to Harrison Central on Thursday at Potter Fieldhouse.
LaNease Andrews led the way for the Potters with 16 points. Aubrey Lyle added seven points.
East Liverpool is 1-3, while Harrison is 2-2.
The Potters will be at Buckeye Local on Monday.

COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s girls basketball team posted a 44-7 win over Valley Christian on Thursday in Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference play.
Annah Clemmer posted 14 points to lead the winners, while Megan Moser added nine points.
Columbiana is 3-1 and 2-0 in the EOAC. Valley fell to 1-1 and 0-2 in the league.
Columbiana hosts Springfield on Saturday, while Valley hosts Leetonia on Monday.

SALINEVILLE — There is no stopping the Southern Local girls basketball team so far.
The Indians racked up their fifth win in five tries with a 76-18 victory over East Palestine on Thursday.
The Indians are 2-0 in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference. Freshman Katie Kellogg scored 28 of her team-high 30 points in the first half. She added 15 rebounds, a school record 13 assists and a school record 17 steals. Allyssa Shroades added 21 points and four steals. Kalayah Crute had five steals. Hailey Kellogg had seven rebounds.
For East Palestine, Jacklyn Ogle had eight points. Destiney Burtyk added four boards and Cami Kridler had three reounds.
East Palestine fell to 1-3 and 1-1 in the league.
The Bulldogs host Wellsville on Monday.
Southern is at Lisbon on Monday. Varsity will start at 6:30 p.m. after a junior high game.

WINTERSVILLE — Indian Creek’s girls basketball team made short work of Beaver Local with a 61-20 win on Thursday.
Bella McLevey led the Beavers with six points.
Beaver Local falls to 1-3, while Creek is 3-0.
Beaver Local is at Harrison Central on Monday.
Indian Creek won the jayvee portion, 23-21. Macie Bourne had nine points for Beaver.
