CAMBRIDGE — Minerva swept the team titles again at the East District cross country meet Saturday at Cambridge High School.

The two-time defending state champion Minerva girls captured their eighth straight district title with 64 points. The Lions had four of the top 14 finishers.

The Beaver Local girls gained the final Division III regional berth by placing 13th with 305 points. Senior Hannah Ruberto topped the Beavers by placing 20th.

The Minerva boys won their fifth district title in a row with 44 points.

Also in Division III, the Beaver Local and East Liverpool boys also captured regional berths. The Beavers were eighth with 233 points and East Liverpool was 11th with 263 points.

Top individual boys were East Liverpool senior Maddox Roach in fourth, East Liverpool senior Brody Vulgamore in ninth and Beaver Local junior Luke Warrick in 12th.

The Division III regional meet will be held at Pickerington North High School this Saturday.
