Southern Local Hall of Fame breakfast

SALINEVILLE — Salineville-Southern Local Athletic Hall of Fame breakfast will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 20 in the high school cafeteria.

New inductees include Diane Pitts Meister (Contributor, Class of 1976), Rob Wilson (Athlete, 1983), Nikki Meister Kellogg (Contributor, 2003), Natalie Saling Durieux (Athlete, 2011) and Jared Shilot (Athlete, 2014).

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased at the door.

Janosik sparks West Branch

BELOIT — West Branch topped Minerva, 25-15, 25-5, 21-25, 27-25 in volleyball action Thursday.

Abigail Janosik led the Warriors with 18 points, 7 aces, 12 kills and two blocks. Chloey Sanor had 12 points, three aces, five assists and 12 digs; Kendyll Kaley nine points, five aces, eight kills, five blocks and eight digs; Ellyana Biskup seven points, 16 assists and 14 digs; Madi Hoopes nine kills and seven blocks; Kendelle Hoopes nine kills, three points, three blocks and seven digs; Audrey Ring five kills and seven digs; Aislyn Ring 12 assists and four digs; Cailyn Fritz three kills and five blocks; Sydney Lane seven digs; and Neely Gruver three digs.

Minerva won the junior varsity match, 22-25, 25-20, 30-28.

The Warriors will host Lakeview at 11 a.m. Saturday.
