East Liverpool 8, Edison 0

EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool’s boys soccer team pushed past Edison for an 8-0 win on Tuesday at Patterson Field.

Maddox Roach, fresh off of winning the Columbiana County cross country meet title, scored two goals for the Potters. Greyson Fitch added two goals. Nate Schwerha had a goal and an assist. Kodie Fennell added a goal and four assists. Kallin Ghrist and Jacob Gump had a goal each, while Wyatt McCune had two assists.

Loyd Hendershot had two saves in goal.

East Liverpool is 4-5-1 and will host Union Local on Tuesday.

West Branch 6, Carrollton 1

BELOIT — West Branch struck down Carrollton 6-1 on Tuesday in boys soccer action.

Reed Martucci had three goals for the Warriors. Cruz Leone, Dane Martucci and Ayden Ohara added single goals.

Mason Thomas had two assists, while Martucci and Leone had one assist each. Lance Myers had three saves in goal.

The Warriors are 9-2 and 3-1 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference.

West Branch is at Mooney on Thursday.

Marlington 4, Salem 0

SALEM — Marlington’s boys soccer team handed Salem a 4-0 loss on Tuesdsay.

Salem is 8-3-3 and 2-1-1 in the Eastern Buckeye Conference and is at Crestview on Monday.

Wood County Christian 2, Heartland 1

WILLIAMSTOWN, W.Va. — Wood County Christian scored two first half goals to best Heartland Christian 2-1 on Tuesday in an OVAC Class 1-3A boys soccer quarterfinal.

Heartland, which traveled two and a half hours for the game, falls to 4-7-2.

Woody County Christian advances to play at the first or second seeded team on Thursday.

Heartland is at Jackson-Milton on Monday.
