Editor: Do we want Lisbon to be a one of a kind jewel, or deny its potential and become a Generica USA? Why do property values rise in historical districts where there is enforced historical protection? Have you ever vacationed and found fast food in historical buildings? Editor: Kris Kobach, vice chairman of Mr. Trump’s newly formed commission, the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, sent a request to all 50 states asking them to provide “voter data.” This request wants the voters’ full names, including middle names, addresses, DOB, last four digits of the Social Security number, party affiliation, military status and some other personal information. Well gee-whiz, I wonder if Kobach would find a little more about maintaining our election integrity if he would request a little information from Vladimir Putin. Bob ...

The Morning Journal welcomes readers’ contributions for inclusion in the Letters to the Editor column. All letters must be signed (a typewritten name will not suffice) and must include a full address and telephone number for verification. Letters should be typewritten and be 500 words or less. Handwritten letters of 25 words or less may be considered if the handwriting is legible. Longer letters, however, must be typewritten.
