To the editor: The size of government can vary to almost any degree. The kings of old had total ownership and power over absolutely everything as does a modern day dictator. This may be efficient for a small group if the dictator is rational and benevolent. But most modern-day countries are too complicated for one person to control everything. To the editor: First, Columbiana’s football season has some things to regret, but the game against East Palestine is not one of them. Losing a game where you were clearly the better team that night is regrettable. Losing a game to your league rival by giving up two TDs at the goal line on 4th and 10 or more is regrettable. Losing to a team 35-0 is regrettable. Scoring TDs on a team that offered little to no resistance is not regrettable. To the editor:  Despite my East Palestine roots and (friendly) bias, I proudly shared on my Facebook page the Reader's Digest story awarding Columbiana the title, "Nicest Place In America.” I'm curious whether Reader's Digest still would apply that moniker after the disgraceful actions of Columbiana's football coaching staff on Friday night.  Specifically, after leading 41-0 at halftime, Columbiana's football team went on to beat East Palestine 82-0.
