Albert William Pinkerton Jr.

1961-2025

Albert William Pinkerton Jr., 63, of East Rochester, passed away at home on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025 following a long brave battle with cancer. Albert was born in South Kingstown, Rhode Island on Nov. 14, 1961 to Albert Sr. and Thelma (Cairnes) Pinkerton.

Albert left behind a legacy of warmth and dedication that touched all who knew him. He was known for his skilled hands and meticulous nature, which served him well throughout his career as a mechanic and welder.

Outside of his professional life, Albert had a deep love for the simple joys of life. He found great pleasure in working on cars, often spending hours under the hood in pursuit of perfection. An avid gardener, he took pride in cultivating a vibrant array of plants and flowers, creating a sanctuary of beauty and peace. His love for the outdoors was further expressed through his fondness for bike riding, camping, and picnics, where he cherished the serenity and freedom of nature.

A proud member of the NRA, Albert valued his rights and responsibilities, which he held in high esteem. He was also a lover of technology, finding joy in the world of computers, constantly learning and exploring their potential. His affection for animals was evident to all who knew him, particularly in his lifelong devotion to the companionship of his cats, who brought him much comfort and happiness.

Albert will be remembered for his kind spirit, unwavering work ethic, and the joy he found in both his hobbies and his everyday life.

His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched. He is survived by his wife, Diana Pinkerton of East Rochester; a daughter, Krystal (Adam Griffith) May of Jackson Township; a son, Albert (Sheri) Pinkerton III of Ormond Beach, Fla.; two granddaughters; and siblings: Patty Noble of Lakeland, Fla., Christina (Tom) Connelley of East Rochester, Wally Golding of Carrollton, Mark Golding of Barlow, Fla., Mike Golding of Lakeland, Fla., and Chris (Mandy) Pinkerton of Alliance. He was especially close to his uncle Rick (Glenna) Cairnes of Canton.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Pinkerton.
