John and Carol Deichler of Lisbon will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 24. The couple are members of the First United Methodist Church in Lisbon where they were married on Aug. 24, 1975 by the Rev. Arden Beck.

John and Carol have built a beautiful life together over five decades, filled with love, laughter, and family. Both earned their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education from Youngstown State University where they met as undergraduate students. John and Carol retired from their long careers in education from Beaver Local and Columbiana schools, respectively.

They are the proud parents of two daughters: Meredith Dingey (and husband Greg) of Columbiana and Megan McNear (and husband Tom) of Lake Tomahawk. They are also blessed with a granddaughter: Eva.

To celebrate this special milestone, their family traveled on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas this summer.
