Margaret ‘Peg’ Rudloff

COLUMBIANA — Margaret “Peg” Rudloff, 89, a former longtime resident of East Palestine, passed away January 8, 2022, at the Salem Regional Medical Center.

Peg was born July 9, 1932, in Rochester, Pa., daughter of the late Harold and Helen Fischer Summers.

She was a member of the St. Jude Roman Catholic Church in Columbiana. She worked as a homemaker raising her family and also was previously employed at WS George Pottery/Jeanette Glass and also worked as a housekeeper for many local families prior to her retirement. Peg was best known for baking cookies for family and friends and delivering them to the local businesses. She also loved to sew and made many baby blankets.

Peg is survived by her children, Robert T. (Marilyn) Figley, Jr., Susan (Mike) Mansfield, Peg (Grady) Clark, Thomas (Diane) Figley, Shawna Melnick; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren as well as her faithful friend, her dog Maggie.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Figley, Sr.; her second husband, Jim Rudloff; son Ted Figley, daughter, Nancy Hunter; a grandson and great-granddaughter.

There will be a celebration of her life around her birthday in July at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in East Palestine. A private burial will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
