Dorothy Mae (Nulf) Cope

'Together Again'

EAST PALESTINE — Dorothy Mae (Nulf) Cope, 93, passed away on January 16, 2022 after a brief illness at Covington Care Center.

Dorothy was born on January 3, 1929 to the late George Elliot (Casey) and Jennie (Ketler) Nulf. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister; Paul, Wayne, George and Velma Nulf. Her devoted and loving husband of over 65 years George (Pete) Frank Cope who preceded her in death in February of 2020.

Dorothy and George lived on Wood Street in East Palestine, Ohio all their lives. Dorothy worked at Kenmar Manufacturing in East Palestine until becoming a loving mother to Laurie (Donnie) Fannin of Portsmouth, Ohio and David (Kimberly) Cope of Fremont, Ohio. Dorothy was a wonderful and loving grandmother to Christopher (Mandy) Fannin of Hanford, Calif., Heather (Jason) Eddy of Lebanon, Ohio, Jason Cope of Bowling Green, Ohio and Rachel Cope-Caracci of Edinboro, Pa. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

Dorothy loved to play cards. She and George belonged to a card club where they made lifelong friends. She enjoyed reading as well as sweets. She always had a sweet treat to offer anyone who visited. Dorothy never missed the chance to mail a card wishing her family members a happy birthday, holiday or special event.

Dorothy and George were inseparable and spent their lives devoted to one another. They were a wonderful example of two people who dedicated their lives to one another in unconditional love.

Romans 12:10: Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 12:00 p.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private burial will follow at Glenview Cemetery.
