Anna K. Anderson

Anna was born July 30, 1923, in New Galilee, Pa., daughter of the late Joseph and Katica Gregorich Rihely.

Anna worked as a seamstress and inspector for Kenmar for 25 years prior to her retirement in 1988. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in New Waterford. She was previously the oldest living member of Grace Lutheran Church where she served as Sunday school teacher, President of the Naomi Circle and served on the church council. She was a member of Eastern Star #381 in East Palestine and had served as Past Matron, and Deputy Grand Matron as well as past President of Eastern Star District 13 and past Mother Advisor of Rainbow Assembly #77.

Anna is survived by a son, Edward (Karen) Anderson of Benton, Ky.; a daughter, Judith McClune of Beaver, Pa.; five grandchildren, Edward (Kelsee) Anderson, Jr., Erica Myers, Stephenie (Joe) Combs, Natalie (Douglas Schwan) McClune and Michael McClune; step grandson, Charlie (Brandi) Manville; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Katherine Thompson of Tucson, Ariz., Josephine Markulin of Beaver, Pa., Rosemarie Thompson of New Brighton, Pa. and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Carl Anderson; son-in-law, Chuck McClune; four brothers, Stanley, Steve, Mike and Joseph Rihely and two sisters, Mary Novak and Caroline Cupani.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. An Eastern Star Service will precede the calling hours at 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor William Wilkins officiating. A private interment will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford.
