Mary “Ruth” Lattanzio Stone
COLUMBIANA — Mary “Ruth” Lattanzio Stone, 86 of Columbiana, formerly of Sanford, North Carolina, passed away on November 9th at St. Mary’s Alzheimer Center. A private graveside service for family will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Ruth was born on December 3, 1943 in Gulf, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Marion Allen and Jewell (McBride) Driver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Lattanzio in 1982; her second husband, Robert Stone in 2017; her brother James Allen; and a son Christopher Lattanzio.
She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and spending time with her friends at the Enrichment Center.
Mary Ruth is survived by her children, Rita Lattanzio, Ralph (Terri) Lattanzio, Audrey (Troy) Macklin, Veronica (Wayne) Hughes of East Palestine and Albert (Ronda) Lattanzio of Columbiana; step-children, Kelli (Walter) Beckman of Raleigh, North Carolina, Stephanie (Robert) Wilson and Greg Stone of Sanford, North Carolina; her brother Randy Allen of Sanford, North Carolina; her sister Faye (Marvin) Reedy of Sanford, North Carolina; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ruth’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
