Sheriff’s Office — A deputy responded at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday to Elkton Auto Corral, Scroggs Road, Elkrun Township, for an alarm, but the owner advised it was a false alarm. — James Merino, 68, Benton Road, Salem, was charged with burglary, a fourth-degree felony, and taken to the Columbiana County jail after deputies were dispatched at 3:44 p.m. Wednesday to a burglary at a residence on Lisa Lane, Center Township.
