Sheriff’s Office

— Deputies were dispatched at 5:48 p.m. Tuesday to state Route 154, Center Township, for an unknown medical call involving a person possibly unconscious. Deputies, West Point EMS and Northstar EMS spoke with the person, who was sleeping and was fine.

— A juvenile-related report was taken from a residence on state Route 45, Madison Township, at 4:40  p.m. Tuesday. The report was sent to child protective services.

— A deputy was dispatched at 2:03 p.m. Tuesday to Lisa Lane, Center Township, for an assault report. The victim did not want to press charges.

— Deputies responded at 8:49 p.m. Monday to Burtview Place, Butler Township, regarding a domestic dispute and learned while en route that one of the people had an active warrant. The person, whose name was not listed on the report, was taken into custody on the warrant and taken to jail. Deputies advised the other person involved on what was happening.

— A deputy returned a call from  10:34 p.m. Sunday regarding menacing on state Route 644, Hanover Township. The caller was advised how to proceed.

— An alarm was reported on Hartley Road, Knox Township, with the residence found secure when deputies arrived at 10:40 p.m. Sunday. The deputies found no signs of forced entry.

— A suspicious person was reported walking down Depot Road, Hanover Township at 6:49 p.m. Sunday. Deputies made contact with the person and dispatch advised the person had an active warrant. The person was taken into custody and taken to jail. The name of the person was not listed on the report.

— An alarm was reported at 10:27 p.m. Jan. 31 at Dollar General, state Route 172, Hanover Township, with all doors and windows found secure at ground level.

— A deputy was dispatched at 6:02 p.m. Jan. 31 to Brushville Road, Unity Township, for a civil matter involving a landlord and tenant. All parties were advised of the eviction process.

Leetonia

— An officer responded at 4:10 p.m. Feb. 3 to a residence in the 200 block to assist a man with getting his door unstuck.

— Police investigated a private property crash at 4:28 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 400 block of Walnut Street, where a motorist struck another vehicle from behind at a stop sign while trying to look around a snow bank.

— An officer issued a warning regarding a barking dog at 11:19 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of East High Street. The dog had been outside for the previous seven hours. 

— Police followed up on an open burning complaint at 8:10 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 200 block of High Street.

— A resident of the 200 block of Ridge Street reported at 1:37 p.m. Jan. 29 that his property was damaged by red Toyota truck going the opposite direction while he was traveling to Water Street.

East Palestine

— An officer provided mutual aid to New Waterford at 12:18 p.m. Jan. 29, breaking up a dog fight. 

— An East Main Street resident reported several items stolen from her residence sometime before 3:56 p.m. Jan. 29. 

— Police were dispatched at 12:19 p.m. Jan. 30 to the area of South Pleasant Drive and East Taggart Street to conduct a welfare check on a male, who was said to be slumped over his steering wheel. Upon contact the man was just sitting in his truck, looking at his phone. 

— An officer responded at 6:24 a.m. Jan. 31 to the area of state Route 170 and Jimtown Road for a disabled vehicle until a tow truck arrived.

— Police responded to a parking complaint at 1:33 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 500 block of East Main Street, where there were multiple vehicles blocking an alley. Upon contact, the vehicles were moved. 

— Contact was made with an occupant of the 200 block of French Street, after a dog was reported to be outside for a half hour in the below freezing temperatures. After making contact with the dog’s owner, he advised he had multiple dogs and was letting them out to relief themselves, but denied they had been out too long.

Columbiana

— Nicole Polen, address not listed, was arrested at 8:29 p.m. Jan. 27 on a charge of domestic violence on the 1200 block of Fairfield Avenue.
