Salem

— Officers on patrol in the area of East State Street and Highland Avenue at 1:28 a.m. Friday conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, Trevor Stevens, 18, Sebring, was cited for no operator’s license.

— Officers attempted to locate a man with an outstanding warrant in the 2000 block of Oak Street at 8:22 p.m. Thursday. Officers were unable to make contact with them.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Newgarden Avenue at 6:47 p.m. Thursday for a report of suspicious messages. The caller advised that inappropriate messages were sent to a juvenile group chat.

— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 4:49 p.m. Thursday to follow up on a prior report of criminal damage to a motor vehicle. The person advised that in addition to the damage a backpack and power tools were stolen from the vehicle. The matter is under investigation.

— Officers responded to the 1900 block of West Eighth Street at 4:50 p.m. Thursday for a report of possible social media harassment. The caller advised a woman was making posts about her family and wanted officers to speak with them. Officers spoke with the woman and discovered that there was an ongoing dispute between neighbors. Officers advised them to remain civil with the caller, and they advised they would delete the social media posts.

St. Clair Township

— An officer responded to radio traffic of a house fire on Birch Road to see if police could be of assistance on Jan. 2

— Officers conducting a welfare check on Jan. 2 at a Bell School Road residence spoke with the person of concern who told them he was fine.

— Officers searched an area of Calcutta Smith Ferry Road on Jan. 2 after it was reported there were possibly multiple people hiding inside a trailer behind a residence.

East Liverpool

— A driver with an expired temporary tag was given a verbal warning following a Dec. 27 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue.

— A driver with only one headlight was issued a verbal warning following a Jan. 27 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue.

— An Officer advised a male to stop panhandling and to leave the apartments where he was panhandling on Sixth Street on Dec. 27.

— Officers told a female at an Odgen Street residence that she would need to start eviction proceedings to get her boyfriend out of the residence if she didn’t want him there due to his name also being on the lease. The female was advised to stay somewhere else for a while since the boyfriend had a new girlfriend in the residence with him.

— Officers responding to the vault for a report of a disturbance on Dec. 27 were told on their arrival that the male causing the issues had left the premises.

Liverpool Township

— Rabia Has El Haj Benali, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for a stop sign violation following a Jan. 3 traffic stop on Anderson Boulevard.

— Scott Shreve, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and mandatory court date for driving with suspended license, third offense, a fourth-degree felony, and expired plates following a Jan. 3 traffic stop on Columbia Drive. Shreve was found to have six open suspensions. First Class Towing impounded the vehicle.

— David Pittman was issued a citation for speed for going 44 mph in a 25-mph zone following a Jan. 3 traffic stop on Boring Lane.

— Millisa Clendenning, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed at 41 mph in a 25-mph zone following a Jan. 3 traffic stop on Boring Lane.

— Phillip Ferry, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and court date for expired plates following a Jan. 4 traffic stop on state Route 7.

— Keith Merriman, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and a mandatory court date for driving with suspended license, expired plates and no brake lights. The vehicle he was driving along with trailer he was towing was impounded by First Class Towing.

Highway Patrol

— Sarah Robb, of state Route 558 in Leetonia, was cited at 3:08 a.m. Jan. 3 in Fairfield Township on charges of OVI, failure to control and a seat belt violation. Her northbound vehicle was traveling on state Route 46, when she drove off the left side of the road and hit two trees.

— A single-vehicle accident involving Kyle Smith, of Lower Elkton Road in Leetonia, remains under investigation. Smith was driving his southbound vehicle on state Route 517 at 10:10 p.m. Jan. 2 when it went off the left side of the road and struck a tree, causing it to overturn.

— Ashley Rhodes, of state Route 344 in Leetonia, was cited at 3:46 p.m. Jan. 6 in Unity Township for failure to control, after her southwest bound vehicle drove off the side of the road and struck a ditch.

— Timmy Young, of Carmel Achor Road in Rogers, was cited at 8:25 p.m. Jan. 6 for failure to control, after his northbound vehicle crossed the center line while traveling state Route 170, went off the left side of the road and struck a ditch.

— William Boyer, of Padgett Road in East Palestine, was cited at 10:58 pm. Jan. 1 in Unity Township for failure to control, after his eastbound vehicle crossed over the center line on state Route 46, went off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

— Megan Walker, of Kent, was cited at 6:17 p.m. Dec. 31 in Knox Township for a left of center violation, after her eastbound vehicle crossed over the center line while traveling Georgetown Road and struck a westbound vehicle driven by Zachary Maley, of Spiedel Road in Hanoverton.

— Harli Green, of Butler Grange Road in Salem, was cited at 8:53 a.m. Jan. 5 in Butler Township for failure to control, after her northbound vehicle crossed the center line on state Route 9 while negotiating a curve, went off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and two groups of trees.

— Emilio Williamson, of St. Jacobs Logtown Road in Leetonia, was cited at 7:38 a.m. Jan. 5 in Yellow Creek Township for failure to control, after his northbound vehicle went off the right side of state Route 39 while negotiating a curve, went off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

— Brendon Mackall, of Lakeview Road in Hanoverton, was cited at 11:49 a.m. Jan. 4 in Salem Township for failure to control, after his northbound vehicle failed to negotiate a curve on old state Route 558, resulting in him going left of center, then exiting the left side of the road and striking a ditch.

— Ayden Bradley, of Camp Boulevard in Hanoverton, was cited at 1:33 p.m. Dec. 23 for assured clear distance in Butler Township, after rear ending a vehicle driven by Dennis Sidwell, of Woodsdale Drive in Salem, while traveling on Woodsdale.
