Salem
— Officers responded to the 200 block of Woodland Avenue at 12:18 a.m. Wednesday for a reported suspicious sound. The caller advised that an ominous beeping sound was coming from outside. Officers located the sound, which turned out to be a smoke detector in the backyard and removed the battery to eliminate the sound.
— Officers responded to the area of South Lundy Avenue at 11:23 p.m. Tuesday for a reported juvenile complaint. The caller advised that they observed multiple juveniles carrying fireworks past curfew. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.
— Officers spoke to a person by phone at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday for a reported incident which occurred in the 25000 block of Bentley Drive. The caller advised that a resident had grabbed the arm of another resident. No injuries were reported, and the caller just wanted the matter documented.
— Officers responded to the 700 block of East Fifth Street at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday for a reported parking complaint. Officers spoke with the owner of the vehicle and advised them to move it, which they did.
— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Cleveland Street at 3:54 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a possible scam. The caller advised that a person called her claiming to be a representative of Bank of America, and that a credit card had been opened in her name and used to purchase firearms. The caller was asked for personal information but refused to provide it. Officers checked the number and confirmed that the person was trying to scam the caller and advised them to contact Bank of America and make them aware of the incident. The caller was provided with a report number.
— The school resource officer was requested to stand by during school dismissal in reference to ongoing issues with some parents at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday. Officers stood by until school dismissal was over.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 1:12 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a possible scam. The caller advised that a woman named Zoey called them and was asking personal questions and when they asked where they were calling from the call was ended, and when they called back the number was disconnected.
— Officers spoke to several people at the police department at 11:46 a.m. Tuesday regarding ongoing telecommunications harassment. Officers were advised that the harassment has been happening since September of 2025 and continuously gotten worse to the point they were fearing for their and their child’s safety. Officers took a written statement from the people and advised that they would attempt to contact the other party to gather their statement. The matter is under investigation.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of South Union Avenue at 10:54 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. Officers were unable to make contact at the residence.
Lisbon
— Officers assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol at 11:26 p.m. on Nov. 13 on state Route 154 with a reckless operator. It was found that the female driver, who resides in Canton, left a store in Canton to go home and ended up in Lisbon. She appeared to be very confused and disoriented and was not willing to cooperate. Dispatch was able to make contact with her son who was able to call his sister to pick her up.
— Officers were notified of a male “lying down like a starfish” in the parking lot of the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church on North Market Street on Nov. 13 at 10:04 p.m. Upon arrival police spoke with the male, who advised that he was just taking a break from walking home from work. and was okay.
— Officers responded at 9:35 p.m. to Pendleton Street for a medical. Police stood by until North Star EMS transported the male.
— Officers responded to North Market Street for a report of an unruly child at 7:14 p.m. on Nov. 13. Upon arrival officers spoke with the son and father. The father advised that he asked his son to do the dishes when became irate. The boy said he no longer wanted Miles in the house due to his behavior. He received a courtesy transport to his grandmother’s house on Washington Street.
— Officers responded at 8:38 p.m. on Nov. 12 to a woman screaming at Circle K. Upon arrival, the woman was advised to go home and if police were called again she would be arrested. The woman then walked home.
— Officers patrolling Washington Street were flagged down by a man who reported suspicious activity at 8:10 p.m. on Nov. 12. The man advised that a silver-colored Chevy Traverse was in his driveway and when he walked outside the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. He advised that he believes the vehicle belongs to an individual who is not permitted on his property. Officers advised the man that he is located in sheriff’s office jurisdiction, but if he observed the vehicle again to call Lisbon police.
— Officers received a request at 5:43 on Nov. 12 from St. Clair Township to ask officers to attempt to make contact with a man on North Market Street to advise him that he was trespassed from A1 Express in Glenmoor and to stop contacting the business requesting a female employee’s schedule. No contact was made.
— Officers responded to the Akron Children’s Hospital at 1:41 p.m. on Nov. 12 on North Market Street to assist on a medical call. Officers stood by until EMS arrived and they were no longer needed. Officers cleared with no incident.
— Officers responded at 4:29 p.m. on Nov. 11 to Steubenville Pike Road for a road rage in progress which started near Market and Washington streets. Each driver had hit each other’s left side mirrors. Both parties claimed the other was at fault so they were advised it would need to be left up to insurance. No citations were issued and neither party was determined at fault.
