Sheriff Reports
— Deputies responded to state Route 45 in Wellsville for a domestic dispute at 1:46 a.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, deputies spoke to a woman who advised that Ronald Knight, 51, state Route 45, Wellsville, struck her in the face several times and spit on her. The victim had injuries consistent with her statement. Knight was arrested and charged with domestic violence.

— An officer spoke with someone on station at 10:31 p.m. Saturday in reference to a runaway juvenile. The officer gathered information and entered the juvenile as missing.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Hawley Avenue at 4:58 p.m. Saturday where a resident reported two neighborhood children had taken a package off his porch and opened it, spilling the contents. Officers contacted the parents of the juveniles and advised them of the situation.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of Reilly Avenue at 3:01 p.m. Saturday in reference to a possible assault. Officers located one of the people involved, who said he had been arguing with someone, but that nothing physical had occurred. Officers were unable to find the other person involved.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of Woodland Avenue at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute and found a man who said he was arguing with his live-in girlfriend while he was moving out. Officers spoke with the girlfriend who confirmed she had been arguing the man. Officers advised both to stay away from each other until the man was able to collect his belongings and leave.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 10:23 p.m. Friday in reference to someone harassing the counter clerk. Officers found the person in question and advised the person not to return to the store for the time being, but to speak with the manager since the problem appeared to be a personal one between the person and the clerk.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 7:56 p.m. Friday in reference to someone getting some sort of fluid on the sidewalk. Officers advised the residents to stay away from it.
— Officers responded to the area of Sharp Avenue and West Pershing Street at 7:43 p.m. Friday in reference to a man and woman arguing loudly with each other. Officers spoke with people who agreed to calm down and stop arguing.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 4:35 p.m. Friday where a resident reported someone had broken into his shed and removed numerous tools sometime that evening.
— A complainant reported on station at 2:25 p.m. Friday possible identity theft. Officers provided the complainant with options for dealing with the situation.
— Cody T. Campbell, 31, Lisbon, was cited for right of way at an intersection following a two-vehicle crash at North Lincoln Avenue and East Third Street at 2:10 p.m. Friday in which he allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign, striking an eastbound vehicle driven by Ashley D. Moran, 40, Alliance. No injuries were reported.
— Patrolling officers at 2:04 p.m. Friday observed a man under a vehicle parked in a parking lot in the 2000 block of East State Street. Officers learned that the man was attempting to get an animal out from under the vehicle. Officers attempted to assist the man and contact the humane agent.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of Vine Avenue at 11:07 a.m. Friday where a resident reported getting unwanted calls and text messages from someone she knows. Officers advised her of options for dealing with the situation.
— James Edward Baranovich, 73, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in the 400 block of West State Street at 6:51 a.m. Friday in which he was westbound and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Wyatt Brandon Bach, 18, Hammonsdville, who was turning right into a parking lot. No injuries were reported.
–Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a suspicious person outside of a residence. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate anyone.
–Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of South Ellsworth Avenue and Aetna Street at 12:29 a.m. Tuesday. The driver gave consent to search the vehicle, and officers issued a written warning for the violation.
–Officers responded to the 2800 block of East State Street at 8:08 p.m. Monday for a reported wellness check. The caller advised that a man with a walker was on the street heading toward a business. Officers located the man who advised that he was walking back home to Washingtonville. Due to traffic and the sun setting a family member was contacted and provided the man with a ride home.
–Officers spoke with a juvenile at the police department who was turning himself in on a warrant at 6:46 p.m. Monday. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Tobin Center.
–Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue and East Fifth Street at 6:15 p.m. Monday for a report of two juveniles outside unattended. When officers arrived, the guardian was exiting a nearby apartment and advised that they had been upstairs, and the juveniles managed to open the front door.
–Officers responded to the 200 block of West Wilson Street at 3:53 p.m. Monday for a reported parking complaint. Officers located the vehicle in question, which was legally parked and had an active registration.
