Perry Township
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of West State Street at 7:39 p.m. Feb. 4 for a reported domestic in progress. Officers found the matter to be a verbal argument between parties with nothing physical nor any threats reported. The involved parties separated for the night.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of East Pidgeon Road at 5:44 p.m. Feb. 4 to assist Columbiana County Sheriff’s deputies with a standby. The person in question was served with a no contact order and retrieved his belongings.
— Officers responded to Salem Acres at 2:13 p.m. Feb. 4 to speak with the caller about not receiving a package. The caller advised that she received an email stating her package was delivered and that when she checked outside for the package, she could not locate it. They also advised that they had contacted the business who advised that the package was signed for but that she does not know the person that signed for it. Officers advised that a report would be on file.
— Officers responded to the 1800 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 1:55 p.m. Feb. 4 for a reported person to be removed. The caller advised they wanted their son removed and officers advised they could not do so since he lived at the residence.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Pidgeon Road at 1:45 p.m. Feb. 4 for a reported dog bite. The caller advised that he was bitten by a dog on the right leg while doing work for the homeowner. The caller advised that the bite broke the skin with a small amount of blood. The caller wanted the incident documented.
— Officers on patrol in the 1200 block of East Pidgeon Road at 6:55 p.m. Feb. 3 for a reported domestic dispute. When officers arrived, the involved parties had already separated from each other and interviews were conducted with both parties and partial video evidence of the incident was observed by officers. All evidence was collected and will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of West State Street at 6:36 p.m. Feb. 3 for a report of a person to be removed, who would not give their child to the mother. When officers arrived, they found that the man had already established residency and was aware of custody laws. The man advised that he had no problem giving the child to the mother as long as she was sober. Officers stood by while the caller took the child.
— Officers responded to the 700 block of Benton Road at 12:01 a.m. Feb. 2 for a report of money being removed from the caller’s bank card. The caller advised that $300 had been removed and that a further $100 was refused, and that she believed an ex boyfriend was responsible. Officers advised the caller a report would be filed and could be picked up for the bank.
— Officers responded to the 1600 block of Van Buren Avenue at 6:31 p.m. Feb. 1 for a property dispute. The caller advised that she wanted a tractor returned from her son, and that she owned the entire unit. Officers spoke with the son who advised that the tractor is half his and that he inherited his uncle’s half of the tractor, which was originally a joint purchase by the caller and her brother, after his passing. Both parties were informed the matter was civil.
— Officers responded to the 1700 block of Harding Road at 4:51 p.m. Feb. 1 for a noise complaint. When officers arrived, the neighbor had turned the music down and advised officers that he would keep the volume down.
— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Garfield Avenue at 4:24 p.m. Feb. 1 for a report of dogs at large. Officers checked the area and found the dogs had been returned to their home.
— Officers spoke to a person by phone at 3:50 p.m. Jan. 31 regarding concerns their child is being driven around by the father while they are intoxicated or high. Officers advised they would attempt to contact him in his vehicle to ensure he is not impaired during pickup or drop off times.
— Officers responded to Southeast Elementary School at 10:38 a.m. Jan. 31 to assist the school resource officer with a possible domestic which occurred the night prior. The juvenile advised that she was “hit on” the night prior, and officers collected all necessary information and will forward it to Child Protective Services.
