— Officers responded to the 1900 block of East State Street at 5:29 p.m. Monday for a report of a stolen vehicle. Officers spoke with the caller, finding the incident was a misunderstanding and there was no stolen vehicle.
— The school resource officer was advised of an issue with a suspicious vehicle at the bus stop at East Third Street and Vine Avenue that morning at 2:31 p.m. Monday. No registration was given and an extra watch was requested in the morning.
— Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue and East Third Street at 12:57 p.m. Monday for a reported reckless operator. Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the driver, advising them of the complaint. The driver advised he was not driving recklessly nor did he seem to be impaired.
— Officers responded to the 1000 block of West State Street at 11:10 a.m. Monday for a report of harassment. The caller advised a man known to him has been sending him threatening letters. Officers contacted the man, whose name was not listed, advising him to stop harassing the caller or charges will be filed against him. The man said he wouldn’t bother the caller again.
— Officers responded to the Foundry at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday for a reported hit and skip. An unknown vehicle side swiped a legally parked vehicle on South Broadway Avenue causing damage to the rear driver side of the tire well and bed. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Cedar Ridge Drive at 7:01 p.m. Tuesday for a reported person to be removed, that was found to be a civil matter. Officers learned that the person had responded to the residence to gather some belongings, but the caller refused to allow her inside and they had never lived at the residence. The person was provided with their options for dealing with the matter and was determined not to be on the property and legally in the roadway and as such was not forced to leave. Officers advised both parties to call back if they had any further issues.
