Perry Township
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Johnson Avenue at 3:05 a.m. Dec. 3 for a reported prowler banging on a residence door. Officers searched the area multiple times but were unable to locate the individual. Officers advised the homeowner of their options.
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Johnson Avenue at 8:41 p.m. Dec. 2 for a report of someone knocking on doors and running into the woods. Officers patrolled the area and checked the woods but were unable to locate anyone.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Highland Avenue at 6:23 p.m. Dec. 2 for a report of a missing juvenile. The caller advised that her son had run out of the door and she could not find him. Officers spoke with the parents who had already located the boy at a nearby neighbor’s house. Officers ensured the boy was not injured.
— Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 12:29 a.m. Dec. 2. The driver, Christopher Hanner, 42, Pennsylvania, was arrested for OVI, drug paraphernalia and several traffic offences which were not listed.
— Officers responded to the area of Depot Road and state Route 45 at 4:13 p.m. Dec. 1 for a report of a possibly intoxicated driver. The caller advised they were behind a truck driving under the speed limit swerving all over the road. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle finding the driver had no indications of impairment.
— Officers spoke to a man by phone at 1:45 p.m. Dec. 1 regarding the theft of a package. The caller advised he’d had a package delivered to his house that was missing when he arrived home. The caller advised that the missing package contains a pair of wrestling shoes.
— Starlyn Matthews, 18, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead and driving without a license after his eastbound vehicle on Goshen Road struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Ethan Davis, 27, Salem at 7:37 a.m. Dec. 1.
— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Elberon Avenue at 10:50 p.m. Nov. 30, for a report of a person pulling at the backdoor of a residence. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate anyone.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of Idaho Avenue at 4:19 p.m. Nov. 30, to speak with a resident on behalf of the Salem Police Department. Officers spoke with the residents, advising them to call the Salem Police Department.
