Lisbon
— Officers responded at 12:26 p.m. Saturday to the Personal Touch home on East Lincoln Way for an alleged assault. North Star EMS was on the scene, where one man had a cut under his eye. He said another man always picks on him so he struck him in the back before the other man struck him in the eye. An officer spoke to the other man, who said the injured man struck him in the back and he turned around and called him a coward. The man then swung at him multiple times but was unable to connect with him. He then struck the man in the face. Another resident confirmed that the man struck the other man first and had continued trying to hit him until he was struck. He was transported to East Liverpool City Hospital.
— Police were called at 10:57 p.m. Friday to Smith Oil, East Lincoln Way, for a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot for over an hour. Officers spoke with a man in the vehicle who had been sleeping and wasn’t from the area. He was told to move for the night since the gas station was closing and was given directions to the Days Inn.
— Officers on patrol at 12:08 a.m. Friday located an open door on the donated clothes bin shed at the Nazarene Church, North Market Street, with scattered clothes surrounding the shed behind the church. Officers picked up the clothing and secured the door on the shed. Nobody was located in the area.
— A caller at 11:52 p.m. Thursday reported a suspicious person trying to break into a residence in the 600 block of North Beaver Street. No one was located.
— Police responded at 3:56 p.m. Dec. 6 to the area of the high school for a call about a man walking around with several guns. Contact was made and he said he dropped the weapons off at a friend’s house and they were airlift/pellet guns. He was told to use a case to transport them to avoid further issues.
— Police responded to West Washington Street at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 for a domestic dispute that occurred earlier in the evening. A woman had called to report a man had physically assaulted her. Charges were filed, but the man wasn’t there at the time, then later he was arrested after returning. Andrew Culp, 34, West Washington Street, Lisbon, was charged with domestic violence and is set to appear on Dec. 14 for a pretrial in Columbiana County Municipal Court.
