— Alan Taylor, 31, Salineville, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device after his vehicle on South Lincoln Avenue attempted to turn onto East State Street and struck a vehicle driven by Aubrianna Thomas, 18, North Benton, at 5:42 p.m. Sunday. No injuries were reported.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of Prospect Street at 3:06 p.m. Sunday for a report of a person to be removed. Officers spoke a man who advised he’d gone to the caller’s residence to receive money owed to him for a broken TV that he had not received within the stated timeframe. Officers spoke with the caller and her juvenile son. The son admitted to accidentally breaking the TV and advised he would pay for it. Officers advised the owner of the TV that the juvenile’s guardian was advised that charges could result if restitution was not made for the damaged TV.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 10:54 a.m. Sunday for a speak with officer report regarding a civil issue. The caller advised her ex-boyfriend had moved out and wanted to come over to get his property. The caller advised them to come over later that day and advised officers she was afraid there would be a problem when he arrives later. Officers advised the caller to call if there is a problem and an officer would respond.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Pershing Street at 3:14 a.m. Sunday for a report of a woman acting suspiciously. Officers were familiar with the woman, advising her of the complaint. The woman advised that everything was okay, and she was just out walking her dog. She left the area and walked home.
— Officers responded to the Waterworth Memorial Park basketball court at 12:56 a.m. Sunday for a reported explosion. Dispatch advised that they had seen the explosion through surveillance cameras on the basketball court and a lot of smoke. Officers found the source, which appeared to be a few fireworks that had been set off. Nobody was located in the area.
— Officers responded to the area of Benton Road and Allen Road at 1:02 a.m. Sunday to assist the Perry Township Police Department for a report of multiple people yelling. Officers checked the area but were unable to hear any yelling in the area.
— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 12:53 a.m. Sunday for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The caller advised that a vehicle kept driving in and out of the apartment complex revving the engine. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of Franklin Avenue at 11:46 p.m. Saturday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised that multiple men was causing a loud disturbance at the vacant house next to hers. The caller advised that the house was being remodeled and that she believed nobody was to be there. Officers spoke with the person and his juvenile son about the issue who advised they were the owner of the residence and were throwing things away in the dumpster. Officers advised them of the noise ordinance.
— Officers responded to the area of Sharp Avenue and Arch Street at 10:11 p.m. Saturday for a reported dog at large. The area was checked along with the surrounding streets, but no dog was located.
— Officers responded to the Foundry at 8:47 p.m. Saturday for a reported medical incident where it was reported a woman was going in and out of consciousness. Officers stood by while the fire department attempted to tend to the woman who was unable to provide much information about herself or what happened. She was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center by the fire department.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of West Fifth Street at 6:33 p.m. Saturday for a reported suspicious vehicle. The caller advised that a work van had been parked in front of her residence that day and the day prior and left the area as soon as she arrived home both days. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle unsuccessfully, and advised the caller that an extra watch would be conducted in the area and to contact them if the van returned.
— Officers responded to the 800 block of East Fourth Street at 4:44 p.m. Saturday to speak with a man with questions regarding the divorce process. The man was advised to contact an attorney about the matter.
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 4 p.m. Saturday for a report of dog at large. Officers were able to locate and catch the dog, which was turned over to the humane officer.
— Officers responded to the 500 block Continental Drive at 2:56 p.m. Saturday for a loud music complaint. Officers could hear the music from the street, and spoke with the homeowners, advising them to turn the music down, which they did without issue.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Penn Avenue at 1:26 p.m. Saturday for a parking complaint. Officers were advised that a vehicle has been parked in a 20-minute parking zone longer than 20 minutes. Officers spoke with the owner and the vehicle was moved.
