Lisbon

— A woman on Sherman Street reported at 8:28 a.m. Tuesday that a male in the residence where she’s staying was being verbally abusive towards her and made threats, with the incidents happening in front of her children. She was advised to call when the altercations are happening and to contact Catholic Charities to see if they can place her somewhere until she has a place to go.

— A parking complaint was reported at 2:53 p.m. Saturday at David Anderson High School where the fire chief noted there were multiple signs and motorists had been warned on multiple occasions not to park in the fire lane. Police issued seven parking citations for vehicles parked in the no parking zone.

— At 4:18 p.m. Friday, officers assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on state Route 11 north of state Route 154, Lisbon.

— A hit/skip was reported at 11:01 a.m. Friday on South Market Street near the courthouse where a woman was parked sitting in her car when another vehicle, a Dodge van, backed up to pull out of a parking space and struck her car. She was able to take a picture of the license plate.

— Officers at 2:43 p.m. Oct. 12 responded to Jefferson Street for a report of power lines down and in the roadway. Officers determined they were only phone lines and removed them from the road.

— Officers responded to Rite Aid on state Route 45 for a welfare check requested at 2:49 p.m. Oct. 9. Officers spoke to two people and they advised they were OK.

County Sheriff

— A woman on Stump Road, Minerva, reported at 9:08 p.m. Saturday that a man was living on the property in a camper and moved out in August and won’t come back to get his belongings after she sent him multiple messages on social media to do so.

— A deputy at 2:04 p.m. Saturday was called to a property on state Route 7, Fairfield Township, for a report of a small black box located with plastic bags containing an unknown powder and crystal substance. The deputy examined the box and contents that appeared to be suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl. The suspected narcotics were secured and sent to the Columbiana County Drug Task Force for further investigation.

— Deputies were dispatched at 1:35 p.m. Saturday to state Route 164, Center Township, for an allegedly suicidal female who appeared to be fine when contacted. She had been speaking to her brother and made a comment due to her current living condition and she said he made it into a bigger thing than it actually was. No signs of suicidal tendencies were observed.

— A deputy responded at 11:34 a.m. Saturday to East Chestnut Street to assist Lisbon Police with a domestic.

— A deputy was dispatched at 11:04 a.m. Saturday to Knox School Road for a welfare check on a male allegedly threatening self-harm. The male and the vehicle were not found and nothing out of the ordinary was seen.

— A deputy responded to a call at 9:10 p.m. Friday on Bear Hollow Road, Madison Township for a person making suicidal threats. The person told the deputy he was fine.

— A woman on Walnut Street, Rogers reported at 9:03 p.m. Friday that her ex-boyfriend keeps texting her and she wanted a report on file.

— Deputies at 4:26 p.m. Friday assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic stop on state Route 11 at state Route 154, Elkrun Township. Lisbon Police were also on the scene and two people were in custody.

— Deputies went at 1:30 p.m. Friday to Millrock Road, Middleton Township, to locate a person who allegedly stole gas in Salineville earlier that day. Jonathan Fish, 44, North Sumner Street, East Palestine, was charged with theft and taken to the county jail. Deputies had been called at 8:18 a.m. for a person who pumped $112 worth of diesel fuel into an Enterprise rental truck before leaving after being told checks could not be accepted.

— A disturbance was reported at 7:06 p.m. Oct. 12 on Cherry Valley Road, Salem Township, but the resident said everything was fine.

— A deputy was dispatched at 6:25 p.m. Oct. 12 to West Main Street, Washingtonville for a medical call. Green Township EMS transported the person to Salem Regional Medical Center.

— A disturbance was reported at 6:12 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Frola Motel, state Route 45, Center Township, where the owner said people in the parking lot at Dairy Queen were yelling at people cutting trees on his property. The persons yelling had left when deputies arrived.

— An open 911 line was reported at 5:16 p.m. Oct. 12 on Lakeview Road, Hanover Township, but the homeowner said everything was fine.

— A property owner on Stump Road, West Township, reported at 3:56 p.m. Oct. 12 that her tenant won’t let her into her living quarters to check a wall that is caving in.

— A resident in Yellow Creek Township reported at 12:41 p.m. Oct. 12 that he was scammed out of $1,600 under the belief that he won $2.5 million and a new car from Publishers Clearing House.
