County Sheriff

— A woman on Desellem Road, Madison Township, reported at 8:18 p.m. Tuesday that her husband was telling her she needs to move out. She was advised of the eviction process.

— A woman on Center Avenue, Center Township, reported at 6:31 p.m. Tuesday that her ex-boyfriend opened a Spectrum account in her name. She wanted a report on file.

— A woman came to the sheriff’s office at 7:23 a.m. Sunday to file a complaint about her live-in boyfriend damaging the residence at Cream Ridge Road, Elkrun Township. Laws were explained and her statement was taken.

— A deputy at 12:03 a.m. Sunday took a report about a person who sent money to someone as part of a scam.

— A woman on St. Jacob Logtown Road, Salem Township, reported at 9:55 p.m. Saturday that her daughter and her grandkids were missing, but then she advised they returned to the residence.

— Suspicious activity was reported at 9:10 p.m. Saturday in the 22000 block of U.S Route 62, Knox Township, for a person in a tent in the open field. A deputy spoke to the person who said they were homeless and would be gone in the morning.

— A deputy at 4:57 a.m. Saturday spoke with a female regarding her vehicle and phone being hacked. She was told she would have to contact the agency where she lives to file a report.

— A deputy was dispatched at 7:48 p.m. July 19 to Miller Road, Salem Township for a domestic violence report. A refusal was signed.

St. Clair Township

— An officer responded to a call at Fishing Fanatics on June 24 at 1:18 p.m. for a female who refused to leave the store.

— Officer responded to a report of a deceased female in the 15000 block of Maple Drive on June 24 at 12:23 p.m. No foul play was suspected. North Star was called to the scene and the female’s next of kin was notified.

— On June 24 at 4:25 p.m., officers were notified of an accident on state Route 170 after the fact. Both drivers exchanged information on the scene and left without calling the police.

— Officers responded to 5 Star Storage on East Liverpool Road on June 24 at 9:22 p.m. for a report of a medical emergency. A male had accidentally shot himself in the foot with a 12-gauge shotgun. The sheriff’s office was notified, and the male was treated by North Star EMS and transported to Columbiana County Airport to be lifeflighted to Pittsburgh Presbyterian.

— An officer who observed Cagney Springer, age and address not provided, who was known to have a suspended license driving on Y&O Road on June 25 at 7:47 p.m., conducted a traffic stop after confirming an active suspension. Springer was issued a citation for a non-compliance suspension.

East Palestine

— An East Clark Street resident reported at 5:09 a.m. to report her wife was being belligerent on Tuesday.

— A male reported at 9:57 p.m. that he had been assaulted at the Family Dollar on East Taggart Street on Monday.

— Officers responded at 1:54 p.m. to North Market Street to a report of a suicidal female who had harmed herself on Monday. An ambulance crew rendered first aid and transported the women to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.

— A theft was reported at 9:12 a.m. on Kemple Drive on Monday.

— A female made a report at the station at 7:06 p.m. on Sunday that she was being harassed by an individual known to her via social media.

— Officers responded at 6:43 p.m. to Alice Street for an animal complaint involving possible dog neglect on Sunday. Officers made contact with the resident and no neglect was found.

— A village resident reported at 5:02 p.m. on Saturday that a safe which contained documents had been stolen from a home.

— A village resident reported at 1:37 p.m. on Saturday damage to a tree on his property.

— A couple contacted the station at 1:30 p.m. regarding division of property in a divorce. They were advised the court would handle property division and that law enforcement is not involved.

— Mark Culley, no age or address given, was cited for OVI, no tail lights, no motorcycle endorsement and fictitious plate following a traffic stop on East Taggart Street at 10:56 p.m. on Thursday.

— Security working East Taggart Street reported at 4:29 p.m. on Thursday that a motorcycle ran through a checkpoint and nearly struck an employee.

— An East Taggart Street resident reported at 11:29 p.m. damage to his vehicle on Thursday.

— Officers took a report from a woman on Clark Street who said she was receiving threatening phone calls from someone know to her on Thursday.

— A female reported at 11:55 p.m. that a package was stolen from her porch on East Martin Street on Wednesday.

Columbiana

— Officers responded at 4:38 p.m. to Homestead Drive for the report of a disturbance on July 17.

— Marquise Wilkins, no age given, Youngstown, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop at 6:08 on July 17 on North Main Street.

— Douglas Seifert, no age given, Columbiana, was cited for OVI, leaving the scene of an accident and traffic control devices at 11:40 July 17 after he was involved in a crash near state Route 14.

— An officer took a report of unemployment fraud at 11:29 a.m. on July 18.. The fraud has already been reported to the appropriate investigative agencies.

— A car striking a deer was reported at 9:25 on July 18 on state Route 14 near Springfield Road.

— Erich Mericle, 38, of Columbiana was arrested on an active warrant at Allen Avenue at 10:15 p.m. on July 18.

— A private property crash was reported at Circle K at 12:06 p.m. on Wednesday.

— Adam Orbenrader, 41, Transfer, Pa., was arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on North Cross Street near West Park Avenue. Orbenrader was later released on a summons to appear in court.

— Officers took a report for a private property crash in the Birdfish parking lot on East Park Avenue at 6:25 p.m. on Wednesday.

— Officers consulted at 4:38 p.m. on Thursday with an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Advice was given.

— Robert Greenisen, 57, Salem, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop at 8:16 p.m. on state Route 14 on Thursday.

— Officers responded at 8:53 to the Duke and Duchess gas station on state Route 14 to a report of a stolen vehicle on Thursday.

— Officers responded to West Park Avenue at 7:16 a.m. to a report of criminal mischief on Friday.

— Officers responded at 2:37 p.m. on Friday to Pittsburgh Street to a report of a neighbor dispute.

— A subject came to the station at 4:04 p.m. on Friday to report fraud. Information was gathered and a report was filed.

— Officers recovered property at 10:51 p.m. on Friday from a dumpster at the baseball fields on Metz Road.

— Rickey Smith, 67, Warren, was cited for speed and driving under suspension following a traffic stop at 2:42 a.m. Saturday at Village Plaza.

Salem

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Franklin Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Saturday for a reported juvenile problem. The caller advised that neighborhood kids had been verbally harassing her children out in the yard. Officers spoke with the other juveniles at their residence, advising them and an adult of the complaint, and to have no further contact with the caller and her children. The caller was advised to contact them if the issue persists.

— Officers responded to the 1500 block of Merle Road at 1:01 a.m. Tuesday for a report of a runaway juvenile. Officers spoke with the parents who provided potential locations to check for the juvenile. Officers were unable to locate the juvenile and entered them into LEADS as missing.

— Officers returned to the 100 block of Jennings Avenue at 10:38 p.m. Monday for a report of possible threats. All parties involved were advised not to have contact for the rest of the evening. All parties involved were given a warning for disorderly conduct.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Jennings Avenue at 10:16 p.m. for a possible fight. All parties involved advised nothing physical had occurred and neither person claimed to be threatened nor wanted to fill out a written statement when given the option.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Franklin Avenue at 9:36 p.m. Monday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that her juvenile daughter was outside in her yard playing basketball when she observed a man filming her. The caller advised her daughter ran into the home and by the time they went back outside the man was fleeing eastbound. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 8:48 p.m. Monday for a reported neighbor dispute. The caller advised that the neighbor had yelled at her for putting up a fence. Both parties were advised not to have contact with each other.

— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Bentley Drive at 6:17 p.m. Monday for a reported assault. Officers spoke with the involved parties who advised a man had slapped the arm of another man. Both parties advised they did not want to press charges and were advised to keep a distance from each other for the rest of the night.

— Officers responded to the area of North Lincoln Avenue and East Tenth Street at 5:43 p.m. Monday for a report of tree limbs in the roadway. Officers observed no limbs in the roadway.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of West State Street at 5:38 p.m. Monday for an animal complaint. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the animal.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Third Street at 5:36 p.m. Monday for a reported neighbor dispute. The caller advised their neighbor had gone onto her property and showed officers pictures of the neighbor’s power washing the side of her garage. Officers advised both parties it was a civil matter.

— Officers responded to a business in the 2200 block of East State Street at 5:16 p.m. Monday for a report of an unwanted man. Employees advised that a man was offering to trade drugs for food. Consent was given to search his belongings with no contraband found. The man was notified he was being trespassed from the property.

— Officers assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with taking a man into custody. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the police department for processing, and $84 was seized as evidence.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of East Eleventh Street at 3:57 p.m. Monday for report of a possibly intoxicated driver. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle in question.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West Pershing Street at 12:22 p.m. Monday for a reported domestic dispute. The caller advised that she had observed a woman shove a man at the residence. Officers spoke with both parties who advised they had been in a verbal argument and the woman had pushed the man out of her way while exiting the residence. The man did not have any marks and did not wish to pursue any charges. Both parties were advised of the domestic violence laws and the female half advised she was going to leave the residence.
