Police

County Sheriff

— Kevin Baker, Carter Road, New Waterford, reported Monday he has surveillance video at Baker’s Golden Dairy, which shows Roy Anthony Watson stealing product out of their store on numerous occasions. He would look like he was putting money in the honor box, but does not. Baker wanted to give Watson time to repay the store for $220 in merchandise stolen. Watson was contacted, returned to the store and an agreement was made for him to repay the money on Friday.

— Tonia Wallace, Columbiana-Waterford Road, Columbiana, reported at 7:49 p.m. Monday she came home to find someone had let her animals out of the pen and threw ornaments around her yard. She believes she knows the culprit.

— Angela Carosella, Beard Road, New Springfield, reported at 8:42 p.m. Monday she needed Andrew Smith removed from her home. Deputies spoke to Carosella, who said her 21-year-old daughter, Amber Pine, wants Smith there but she does not. Deputies explained the daughter has as much right to decide who is welcome at the house as she does. Deputies spoke to Smith and Pine, who said they have been living together at the home for two years. Deputies explained the eviction process to Carosella.

Highway Patrol

— Brian L. Kolm, 23, Alliance, was westbound on Hartley Road in Knox Township at 6:30 p.m. April 17 and struck low hanging wires, pulling them down. No citations were issued.

— Jason A. Minger, 39, Union Street, Columbiana, was southbound on state Route 7 in Fairfield Township at 7 a.m. Friday when a rock reportedly fell of a truck in front of him and struck his vehicle.

— Jodee Welce Boerio, 40, Fairfield School Road, Colum-biana, was northbound on Lower Elkton Road in Fairfield Township at 3:28 p.m. Sunday and went off the left side into a ditch. She was cited for failure to control.

— James P. McIntire, 53, Amsterdam, Ohio, was northbound on state Route 164 in Center Township at 10:20 a.m. Monday and went off the right side into a driveway embankment, a set of mailboxes, ditch and tree and rolled over. He was cited for failure to control.

Lisbon

— Chris Brown, North Park Avenue, reported at 11 p.m. Friday he arrived home to find the door was open a crack, and then he discovered 20 DVDs were missing, along with a 32-inch smart TV.

— A clerk at Smith Oil reported there appeared to be a man passed out in a vehicle parked on the side of the building at 10:29 p.m. Sunday. Police responded, and the man told the officer he was on his way home from a long weekend retreat when he decided to pull over and take a nap. The man said he would continue on home now.

— Jesse D. Flugan, Pritchard Avenue, backed into a vehicle driven by Dennis L. Flugan, Roberts Road, in the Valley View parking lot at 1:38 p.m. Monday.

— Police responded to a report of a fight at Shenanigan’s Pub at 2:42 a.m. Saturday, where owner Billy Jackson said irate customer Aaron Penny was starting fights because of his girlfriend and then he refused to leave the property when ordered. Penny was found to have blood on his face and gravel fragments in the wound, but he said he had fallen in the parking lot. The owners only wanted Penny to leave and police gave him a ride to his home on South Lincoln Avenue. His ex-girlfriend was also advised of the process for obtaining a protection order.

— Police were called to the Subway in response to a customer possibly about to give birth at 7:49 p.m. Monday. Christine Lamasses, who is four months preg-nant, said she was having contractions every three to four minutes. While an ambulance was summoned, the officer talked to Lamasses’ boyfriend, Roy Bates, who said she has been to the hospital each of the past two days. Lamasses started having contractions across the town square by Foxes Pizza, so Bates and two friends brought her to the Subway so she could use the restroom and have more room in case she went into labor. An ambulance arrived and took Lamasses to a hospital.

Salem

— An officer responded to the 900 block of Jones Drive. A caller reported at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday someone was stuck in a tree. An officer found it was a tree service company working.

— A man Tuesday report-ed a co-worker refuses to work with him and she is making work for him a hostile environment, telling other co-workers that he’s going to harm her. He said he’s in the process of filing a harassment grievance through his work and has no desire to hurt her in any way. He wanted a report on file with police. The address for Salem Regional Medical Center, 1995 E. State St., was listed as the address on the report. Officers will attempt to speak with the other person to get both sides of the story.

— An officer at 10:59 p.m. Tuesday responded to the 900 block of East Ninth Street to deliver a message for another agency. The address given was not current, but another officer was able to contact a family member of the person in question and passed along the information.

— Officers at 9:28 a.m. Tuesday checked the well-being of a resident in the 500 block of Continental Drive. She said she was fine.

— A man in the 500 block of Columbia Street reported at 9:27 a.m. Tuesday that he was concerned about a person at a local business looking at his residence. He was told his options.

— A woman in the 500 block of Franklin Street reported at 7:02 a.m. Tuesday that someone unknown entered her vehicle in the driveway and stole an unknown amount of change. She was told her options.

— A caller at 8:49 p.m. Monday reported a black truck parked blocking an alley in the 500 block of Walnut Street . The owner was contacted, told he wasn’t permitted to park there, and moved the vehicle.

— A woman in Salem reported at 7:09 p.m. Monday that her brother from Columbus keeps calling and leaving messages on her phone questioning her fitness as a mother. He also said he was reporting her to Children Services. She was given several options.

— A property owner in the 1800 block of North Ellsworth Avenue reported at 6:02 p.m. Monday that his neighbor was cutting down hedges on the property line. He was told to contact the zoning officer. A police officer spoke to the neighbor who was advised to speak with the zoning officer before continuing any landscaping on the property line.

— An employee at Donnell Ford of Salem, Continental Drive, reported at 2:42 p.m. Monday that they were attempting to locate a 2017 Lincoln MKC that could not be found on the lot. The employee had others to talk to who were not working to see if the vehicle had been out on a test drive. Officers checked the area, but did not locate the vehicle.

Salineville

— Someone reported a man beating his horse at a West Main Street address at 4 p.m. April 18. A woman told police she saw a man using a stick from a tree to hit his horse in the face while he was riding it on the road. She also said others have seen the man punch the horse in the face. Police spoke to the man, who said he was using the stick to keep the horse from looking around while walking on the roadway. He claimed it was a training method, not something being used maliciously. Police manipulated the stick some distance from the horse, which made the animal appear to become nervous and frantic. The matter is under investigation.

— Samantha Crawford reported at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday a man she lives with was planning to administer illegal drugs without her consent or knowledge if she would go to a social event outside of town. She said she was in fear of her own safety and she was referred to the prosecutor’s office.

— A driver reported another driver recklessly operating a yellow Cavalier in the area of the Railroad Auto Spa, East Main Street, at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday. Police saw the vehicle going up McGaffic Alley, driven by Sam Earich. He was cited with driving under suspension.

— On April 14 the county dog warden captured a dog running loose while attending a baseball game at the Salineville field. The dog was confiscated and the owner, Megan McKee, was cited with allowing her dog to run at large, which has been an ongoing problem with her. A picture of the dog has been posted on social media in an attempt to find the owner by others and the dog warden has visited several homes in the area attempting to find the dog in the past.
