SALEM — The Brightside Project will sponsor its 4th Annual Golf Outing June 20 at Flying B Golf Course in Salem. This community fundraiser will bring together golfers, local businesses, and supporters for a day on the course while raising funds to support children in Columbiana County and rural Mahoning County. Salem health department preparing for Health Resource Fair

SALEM — The health department is preparing for its annual Health Resource Fair in June. Health Commissioner Chelsea Clark told the health board that she is preparing for the department’s fifth annual health fair at Waterworth Memorial Park on June 20 at the board’s May meeting. Clark said that the health fair will be held from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m., coinciding with the annual Art in the Park Festival. “We will be in the green space behind Art in the Park this year, which is exciting,” Clark said. Court News LISBON — A woman accused of abusing an infant was sentenced to 30 months in prison for endangering children, a third-degree felony. Melanie R. Leonard, 36, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, appeared for sentencing recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for the case. She received credit for 75 days served in jail. Two additional counts of endangering children, one a second-degree felony and one a third-degree felony, will be dismissed.
