St. Clair Township trustees approve officer resignation

CALCUTTA – The St. Clair Township Police Department is losing an officer. St. Clair Township Police Chief Brian McKenzie told the St. Clair Township Board of Trustees during Monday’s meeting that officer Chase Askounes submitted his resignation effective June 22. Trustees Robert Swickard and James Sabatini II voted to accept and approve the resignation. Trustee Jordan Williams did not vote due to being absent and excused from the meeting.
