Beaver Local board recognizes bus driver who assisted in dog attack

LISBON — A Beaver Local school bus driver was recognized for her bravery by the Board of Education this month for her actions during an emergency situation she witnessed near Lake Tomahawk in May. Commissioners award train depot renovation project to New Waterford company

LISBON — Columbiana County commissioners recently awarded the contract for the East Palestine Train Depot renovation project to Dynamic Structures of New Waterford for $889,545. “We’re anticipating starting work in the first week of July,” Project Coordinator Haedan Panezott of the county Port Authority said. The Port Authority is serving as administrator of the $250,000 state grant awarded toward the project from the Target of Opportunity Program Community Development Block Grant through the Ohio Department of Development and is overseeing the project. Low-cost rabies vaccination clinic scheduled for July

LISBON — The Columbiana County Health District is partnering with Lisbon Veterinary Clinic, the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center and the Columbiana County Fair Board to host a Reduced Rabies Prevention Clinic. The clinic will be held on Saturday, July 25, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the fairgrounds in the Columbiana County Vaccination Complex (CCVC).
