WINONA – The Winona Ruritan Club held its August meeting at the Winona Friends Church Aug. 25. Vice President Tom Richey called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Lee Stamp and Tom Richey led the club in the singing of “America.” Homer Althouse gave the invocation. COLUMBIANA — An event honoring the lives of the 343 New York firefighters who died in the line of duty on Sept. 11, 2001 is being held at the Crestview High School. The Memorial Stair Climb and walk is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Rebel Stadium.
