GOSHEN TOWNSHIP — The board of trustees approved adjustments to the township’s special assessment for street lighting in its meeting Tuesday. The trustees unanimously approved a 4% increase in the township’s special assessment for electricity for 2027. The trustees and Fiscal Officer Michele Barratt said that the increase was being made to keep up with ongoing inflation. SALEM — City council voted to reduce outstanding zoning fees for a city property in its Aug. 4 meeting. Mayor Cyndi Baronzzi Dickey told council that a landlord with multiple properties within the city had purchased a property whose prior owners had not kept the property to code, accruing approximately $3,600 in fees prior to the purchase unbeknownst to the new owner.
