-- A woman on Black Road, Center Township, reported at 4:44 p.m. Wednesday that her tenant on Hill Street, Center Township, picked up her turkey pen and moved it on her property.
-- A man on South Lincoln Avenue, Salem reported at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday that he bought a vehicle from New Garden Auto Mall, state Route 9, Hanover Township and left his old vehicle there over a year ago and now he's claiming the owner won't tell him where it is. He was advised this was a civil matter and to contact an attorney.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 8:38 p.m. Tuesday to the 32900 block of Speidel Road, Hanover Township for a man walking who appeared to be in some sort of distress. A deputy spoke to the man, who advised he needed to go to the hospital. Hanover Township EMS transported the man to Salem Regional Medical Center, Salem.
-- A caller from Bayard Road, West Township reported at 7:18 p.m. Tuesday that three men were shooting in the area of the railroad tracks, got into their vehicle and left the area.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 4:47 p.m. Tuesday to Hill Street, Center Township for a welfare check on a person who's pregnant and left their residence on South Green Street, Lisbon. The deputy spoke with the person, who was fine.
-- A custody issue was reported at 7:47 p.m. Monday on Glenn Road, Madison Township. The resident was told deputies do not handle custody issues, but a report would be on file. He was told he needed to notify the courts.
-- A deputy at 9:43 p.m. Aug. 6 attempted to stop a motorcycle at Race Road, Lisbon, but the bike failed to stop and led the deputy down state Route 154 into Elkton, then into Rogers and Negley, then down Bye Road to state Route 46 heading toward New Waterford, then turned onto East Main Street heading toward state Route 14. He crossed the border into Pennsylvania and the stop was terminated by deputies. All speeds and traffic conditions were relayed to dispatch during the pursuit.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5 to Neeld Road, Unity Township for a person who overdosed. East Palestine EMS were on the scene and the person signed a medical refusal.
-- Deputies responded to an open 911 line at 2:53 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 30, Center Township and found a person who had fallen and needed medical attention. North Star Critical Care arrived and transported the person to Boardman St. Elizabeth for minor scrapes and a bump on their head.
-- Deputies responded at 4:44 a.m. Monday to a residence on State Line Road, Negley to conduct a welfare check on a suicidal male. While en route, deputies were advised the man had an active warrant out of the county. Carter Hollinger was taken into custody on the warrant and checked by EMS personnel and cleared before being taken to the jail. He was placed into the care of jail staff.
-- Deputies responded at 3:48 a.m. Monday to a residence on Carmel Achor Road, Middleton Township to conduct a welfare check. Deputies knocked several times at the door and announced themselves, but were unable to make contact with anyone.
-- A custody issue was reported at 10:41 p.m. Sunday at North Yuma Trail, Negley. A deputy spoke to both parties involved, who came to an agreement that the child in question would stay with the mother for the night. Both parties agreed to separate and talk in the morning.
-- Suspicious activity was reported at 10:07 p.m. Sunday on McCormick Run Road, Yellow Creek Township where the caller reported someone had broken into his father's vacant house. Deputies checked the residence and found everything secure, but an interior light was on. Deputies received permission from the owner to make entry, checked the interior, but didn't find anyone. The findings were relayed to the homeowner.
-- A deputy on patrol at 2:19 a.m. Friday came across a vehicle with its hazard lights activated at the Rogers Sale on state Route 154, Elkrun Township. The deputy made contact with the driver and a passenger. The driver advised the deputy they would be spending the night until the sale opened in the morning. The deputy advised that was okay.
-- A woman on Vincent Road, Salem Township reported at 3:54 p.m. Friday that her ex-boyfriend, who lives in Middleton Township, called her multiple times from a restricted number and she told him multiple times to stop calling her.
-- A man on Morris Road, Elkrun Township reported at 3:43 p.m. Friday that his neighbor keeps knocking over the property pin. He was advised to contact an attorney.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 7:14 p.m. Thursday to Old Monroeville Road, Washington Township for a domestic violence report. All parties involved separated and some left the residence.
-- A domestic violence incident was reported at 5:02 p.m. Thursday on Lisbon Road, Salem Township.
-- A man from Haiti Road, Washington Township called at 9:49 p.m. Aug. 4 to report he's not at his residence and his neighbor contacted him to advise his dog and cat are missing.
-- The family of a woman from East Liverpool who had been an inmate at the Columbiana County jail reported at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 4 that she was released from the jail on County Home Road, Lisbon and has no phone, has health issues and is not back home. Dispatch put out a welfare check for her and the next day, she was located at a residence on U.S. Route 30, Center Township.
-- Alliance police dispatch in Stark County called at 6:58 p.m. Aug. 4 to request a welfare check on a person who lives on Main Street, Knox Township and was making suicidal threats on the Internet. A deputy checked, but there was no vehicle or person on the vacant property.
-- A woman from Arizona reported at 6:46 p.m. Aug. 4 that her sister, who resides on Cunningham Road, Salem Township, went into her deceased mother's bank and withdrew $300,000 from her account. She was advised to contact an attorney.
-- A man from Beaver Falls, Pa. Reported at 2:13 p.m. Aug. 4 that he camps at Clewell Campground on Clewell Drive, Hanover Township, and the Columbiana County Humane Society confiscated his chickens that they said were in bad conditions, which they were not according to him. He said somebody tampered with their pens and water supply. He was advised to contact an attorney.
Highway Patrol
-- Danny Cappitti, 49, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, escaped injury after a hit/skip on state Route 11 at 4:57 p.m. Aug. 11 in Elkrun Township. Cappitti was southbound in the left lane in a semi when someone driving a truck hauling a trailer was southbound in the right lane, cut in front of the semi, struck it and then fled the scene. The other driver was not identified.
-- John W. Gray, 33, Kinsman, was cited for failure to yield after his eastbound vehicle on state Route 558 was making a left turn onto Lisbon Road and was struck by a westbound vehicle on state Route 558 driven by Linda D. Burton, 82, Columbiana Lisbon Road, Columbiana at 5:26 p.m. Aug. 8 in Salem Township. Burton suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported by EMT to St. Elizabeth Hospital Youngstown. Gray and his passenger, Amber Favorite, 36, Kinsman, each suffered suspected minor injuries but were not transported.
-- An unsolved crash/hit skip was reported at 9:23 p.m. Aug. 7 in Hanover Township when a truck traveling northeast traveled off of McKaig Road and struck a tree. No driver was listed on the report, but the Ford F-150 was owned by Joshua Arnold, Clarkson Road, Rogers.
-- Shawnna M. Vizzuso, 33, U.S. Route 62, Beloit, was cited for failure to yield after failing to yield from a private driveway and being struck by an eastbound vehicle on U.S. Route 62 being driven by Carson Schiel, 19, North Main Street, Beloit at 7:40 a.m. Aug. 7 in Knox Township. Schiel suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Vizzuso suffered suspicious minor injuries and was taken to Aultman Alliance City Hospital.
-- A Sandy Creek Joint Fire District ambulance driver and his two passengers escaped injury after the eastbound ambulance he was driving struck water on U.S. Route 30 and went off of the road at 9:55 p.m. Aug. 10 in West Township.
-- An Ohio Department of Transportation mower was southbound on state Route 45 in Center Township at 1:42 p.m. Aug. 10 when it caused a rock to strike a parked Ford F-250 pickup on the side of the road owned by Sweet Meadow Farm Drainage LLC of Beloit. No injuries were reported.
-- Joseph S. Frank, 53, Eric Drive, Lisbon, was cited for assured clear distance for striking the rear of a stopped vehicle southbound on state Route 45 in Salem Township at 12:13 p.m. Aug. 10. The stopped vehicle was operated by a 15-year-old girl from Salem. No injuries were reported.
-- Chandelyn C. Toney, 33, Depot Street, Rogers, was cited for a red light violation after running a red light while northbound on state Route 7 and striking a westbound vehicle on state Route 558 driven by Leeanne F. Blue, 55, Latta Road, East Palestine, at 9:18 a.m. Aug. 10 in Fairfield Township. Blue suffered a possible injury, but wasn't transported. There were no other injuries.
-- Courtney Sue Cox, 38, West 16th Street, Salem, was cited for left of center after her westbound vehicle on Adams Road struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Payton M. Mayrobb, 29, Hunter Camp Road, Lisbon, while turning left from northbound state Route 164 at 6:09 p.m. Aug. 9 in Center Township. No injuries were reported by either driver or their passengers.
-- Shelbi S. Roberts, 25, Georgetown Road, Salem, was transported by Sebring EMS to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Health Canton with suspected serious injuries after her eastbound vehicle on Georgetown Road collided with a northbound vehicle on Knox School Road driven by Angela N. Wandle, 51, Ridge Road, East Rochester, who failed to yield while turning left onto Georgetown and was struck by the Roberts' vehicle at 2:12 p.m. Aug. 9 in Homeworth. The Roberts vehicle then struck a parked vehicle on the left side of the road. Wandle was cited for a stop sign violation and was taken by Sebring EMS to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Health Canton for suspected minor injuries.
-- No citation was listed for Eric R. Welden, 37, Andura Road, NE, East Rochester, whose vehicle was eastbound on U.S. Route 30 when it crossed the center line and drove off of the road, striking a utility pole. An unknown condition was listed for Welden, who wasn't injured in the crash at 4:40 a.m. Aug. 9 in West Township.
-- Kyra L. Cooper, 21, Rochester Road, East Rochester, was taken by Hanover Township EMS to Mercy Health Canton after her northbound vehicle on Rochester Road went off of the road, struck a ditch and overturned at 3:01 a.m. Aug. 9 in West Township. The report noted that for condition, she either fell asleep or fainted. No citation was listed.
-- William E. Michael, 43, Canterbury Court, Columbiana, escaped injury after an unknown driver in a vehicle eastbound on state Route 14 struck the rear of his eastbound vehicle stopped at the intersection of state Route 7 in Columbiana at 8:17 p.m. Aug. 6 and fled the scene.
-- Eric J. Cozza, 52, Grant Street, Rogers, was cited for assured clear distance and no seat belt after his northbound vehicle on state Route 7 struck the rear of another northbound vehicle driven by Diana L. Tice, 61, Queensway Street, East Liverpool at 2:39 p.m. Aug. 6 in Middleton Township. Tice was taken by North Star Critical Care to St. Elizabeth in Youngstown for suspected serious injuries. Her 17-year-old passenger suffered suspected minor injuries, but was not transported.
-- Johnathan Russell, 42, state Route 45, Lisbon, was cited for assured clear distance after his westbound vehicle struck the rear of another westbound vehicle driven by Haley A. Orndoff, 22, High Street, Washingtonville at 5:41 p.m. Aug. 8 in Madison Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Jack K. Ayers, 18, Knox School Road, Minerva, was cited for reasonable control after his northbound vehicle traveled off of Rochester Road and struck a mailbox and utility pole at 12:01 p.m. Aug. 7.
-- Grant Soneson, 22, Rocky River, suffered a suspected serious injury and was transported by Stat MedEvac to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown after his eastbound vehicle traveled off the road and crashed into some brush at 7:46 p.m. Aug. 6 in Unity Township. No citation was issued.
-- Joshua H. Burkett, 50, Moore Road, East Liverpool, was cited for assured clear distance after his eastbound vehicle swerved to miss a fire truck blocking Cameron Road, went off the left side, struck an embankment and overturned onto its side at 11:44 a.m. Aug. 6 in Madison Township. Burkett suffered a possible injury and was taken by West Point EMS to East Liverpool City Hospital. His passenger, Angel D. Roberton, 45, Moore Road, East Liverpool, suffered suspected minor injuries and was taken by West Point EMS to East Liverpool City Hospital.
-- Lindsay J. Brothers, 42, state Route 172, Lisbon, was cited for a stop sign violation after her northbound vehicle on state Route 164 failed to stop at state Route 558 and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Austin R. Sabol, 21, Wickliffe at 7:40 a.m. Aug. 6 in Fairfield Township. No injuries were reported.
-- A 17-year-old Hanoverton girl was cited for reasonable control after her westbound vehicle traveled off of the right side of Middle Beaver Road and struck a yellow traffic signal and mailbox at 11:10 p.m. Aug. 5 in Elkrun Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Austin T. Barone, 27, Boardman, was cited for reasonable control after the UPS truck he was driving east on Salem Grange Road drove off of the road and struck a stop sign and utility pole at 5:13 p.m. Aug. 5 in Salem Township near state Route 558. No injuries were reported.
-- Daniel T. Ingram, 29, Salem Alliance Road, Salem, was cited for a stop sign violation after his northbound vehicle on Slater Road failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a westbound vehicle on Hartley Road driven by Dylan M. Steeves, 33, Brooklyn Avenue, Salem, who then went off the road and struck a utility pole at 7:50 a.m. Aug. 5 in Butler Township. Steeves suffered suspected minor injuries, but wasn't transported. His three passengers were not injured.
-- Steven D. Doughty, 54, Shadyside, was cited for reasonable control after his eastbound semi truck went off of the right side of state Route 558, struck a fence, came back onto the road, crossed the center line and went off the right side of the road, striking a cornfield at 10:18 a.m. Aug. 4 in Unity Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Nevan Lee, 23, state Route 170, East Palestine, was cited for reasonable control and operating a vehicle impaired after Lee's eastbound vehicle traveled off the right side of state Route 14 and struck a mailbox, multiple stretches of fencing and a utility pole at 2:53 a.m. Aug. 1 in Unity Township. No injuries were reported.
-- Dale Bittler, 67, Youngstown, was cited for failure to yield after his northbound vehicle on Lower Elkton Road failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the stop sign and struck an eastbound vehicle on state Route 517 driven by Heather M. Ritterspach, 32, Black Road, Lisbon at 5:16 a.m. Aug. 1 in Fairfield Township, causing the Ritterspach vehicle to strike a guardrail. Ritterspach suffered a suspected minor injury and was taken by West Point EMS to St. Elizabeth Hospital.
-- Alan J. Roush, 30, Fife Coal Road, Wellsville, was westbound on Osbourne Road at 12:10 p.m. July 29 in Madison Township when his vehicle's mirror was struck, by an unidentified eastbound vehicle's mirror. No injury was reported.
-- Dustin D. Hull, 24, Plymouth Street, Hanoverton, suffered suspected serious injuries after allegedly losing control of his eastbound motorcycle on U.S. Route 30, overturning and going off the right side of the road and striking a ditch at 7:15 a.m. July 29 in Hanover Township. Hull was transported by Stat MedEvac to St. Elizabeth Hospital and cited for reasonable control.
