Wellsville to conduct smoke testing on sanitary sewer system

WELLSVILLE — The Village of Wellsville will be conducting smoke testing on the village’s sanitary sewer system from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 14. According to council member Cindy Mick, Property/Sewage Committee chairperson, the testing will involve the opening and entering of every other manhole in streets and public utility easements to locate breaks and defects in the sewer system and the locations where storm and other surface water enters the sewer system. LISBON — The 7th District Court of Appeals recently upheld the conviction of Elvin EJ Tisdale, who was sentenced last year to life in prison without the possibility of parole for killing Brycen Douglas in 2021. The ruling said Elvin EJ Tisdale received a fair trial, with the appellate court overruling all six errors claimed by the defense and affirming the trial court’s judgment.
