Sheriff’s Office — A man who wasn’t home reported at 3:42 p.m. Wednesday that he saw on his camera on the outside of his residence a man riding a scooter in his driveway from the road. A deputy checked the property and area, with no contact with anyone. — Trespassing was reported at 6:28 p.m. Tuesday at a Votaw Drive, Lisbon property. A deputy spoke to the person who called and also spoke with the alleged trespasser, warning them to stay off of the property. Court News LISBON — A former Rogers man accused of robbing a resident hosting a garage sale last year pleaded guilty to robbery, a second-degree felony. Lance Bishop, 20, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, who previously lived on Walnut Street, Rogers, entered the plea during a recent hearing in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, with sentencing set for Sept. 25. Misdemeanors of assault and theft will be dismissed for the incident May 23, 2025 in Rogers at a garage sale hosted by the victim. Youngstown council authorizes settlement with Lisbon company over property demolition

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown City Council voted 7-0 Wednesday to authorize the board of control to settle a federal lawsuit with a company that had its property demolished without notice — paying it $105,000 and removing a $30,000 demolition fee. The settlement agreement with Armadillo Development LLC of Lisbon has the city admitting no liability in the demolition. The board of control is to vote today to settle the case. St. Clair Township opts out of state salt contract

CALCUTTA — St. Clair Township is opting out of the state salt contract. Trustee James Sabatini II, Fiscal Officer Deborah Dawson and Road Foreman Dave Smith Monday discussed their review of the township’s road salt inventory, cost increase of salt and the budget. Following the discussion, they determined the township will opt of the State Road Salt Contract for 2026-2027, having enough salt in inventory to carry through the upcoming winter season.
