Bids for train depot renovation come in higher than expected
LISBON — Bids opened last week for the East Palestine train depot renovation all came in higher than the architect’s estimated cost, with Dynamic Structures of New Waterford submitting the lowest bid at $889,546. Columbiana County commissioners opened the bids last Wednesday, with part of the funding coming from a $250,000 state grant from the Target of Opportunity Program Community Development Block Grant through the Ohio Department of Development.
