Final screening of Brier Hill planned at The CAT The Columbiana Arts Theater (The CAT) will host the final screening of the acclaimed regional film Brier Hill at 6 p.m. Saturday. CCESC secures grant for Salem kindergarten camp

LISBON — The Columbiana County Educational Service Center (ESC) has secured a grant for the Salem School District Kindergarten Boot Camp this summer. ESC Superintendent Marie Williams said the service center applied for the $111,000 in state funding on behalf of Salem schools. The ESC board was notified in May that the funding was awarded, according to meeting minutes posted online. The funding will go toward staffing and supplies for the program. LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a pretrial was set Aug. 5 for Daniel Lee Shoaff, 65, North Howard Avenue, Salem, charged with public indecency expose private parts for allegedly being in a lit pavilion at Centennial Park with his pants around his ankles on May 28 in Salem, with officers advised by dispatch that surveillance video showed him touching himself, the affidavit said.
